Greater Boston Neighborhood Noise Report Card
REPORT CARD

Welcome to our Back Bay, Beacon Hill, West End and North End report card! Each of these neighborhoods has a distinct historical quality that gives them incredible charm, making them the most sought out (and expensive) places to both live and visit in the City. However, despite the old world charm of these neighborhoods, they also encompass some of the most modern areas in the City such as the John Hancock Tower (which happens to be the tallest building in New England and the 50th Tallest building in the United States), fashionable Newbury Street, Massachusetts General Hospital, TD Garden, and some of the most incredible Italian eateries on the planet. Tourism, densely packed residential areas, the late night Celtics game, even later night open eateries, the early morning pick-up and delivery to these restaurants, the road traffic, and the car horns, however, also make these neighborhoods quite loud.
