Greater Boston Neighborhood Noise Report Card
REPORT CARD

Welcome to our Chinatown, Leather District, and Downtown Report Card! These neighborhoods are positively electric as they are in the heart of the commercial, entertainment, and financial areas of Boston. These three neighborhoods are also a stone’s throw away from South Station, Boston’s main transportation hub outside of Logan Airport. Several MBTA subway lines (orange, red, silver, and green) service the area, making it a very easy destination to get to—especially if you are craving late night Chinese food or want to catch a play in the theater district. Tufts Medical Center—a Level 1 adult trauma hospital—is also here. So, if you happen to be in this area at the right time, sound levels can clock in at close to 90 dBA making it one of the loudest—albeit coolest—neighborhoods in Boston!
